RPL Assessment Process

The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process has 4 stages and they are:

Confirmation of Work Experience

Once you make the initial payment for the RPL, you will be given an online assessment for your selected qualification. This Online assessment is for you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required.
You will also be required to give 2 different employers’ references to confirm your skills and knowledge. The referees will be receiving a link directly from the assessment body.

Demonstration of Supporting Knowledge

Proof of Required Skills

Once you are successfully done with the demonstration of knowledge you have of the units within the qualifications making the final payment, the next step will be to upload the supporting or proof of documents of each unit.
The documents have to be uploaded as per the instructions.
Once you are done with the above step, Now you have to wait for the result. There will be two outcomes, either your RPL will be granted or Not Granted.
If the RPL is granted – Every Unit of Competency within the qualification has been assessed and the RPL is granted. You will receive a certificate, a statement of results, and a digital Badge.
If the RPL is not granted – Either all or a few of the units under the specific qualifications have been assessed and the RPL is not given. You will receive an RPL not granted and/or Credit Transfer), a statement of Attainment (RPL given), and a Statement of Results (RPL granted.

What do you mean by Australian Technical Competencies Statement?

Australian Technical Competencies Statement will prove partial assessment against the units of Australian qualification UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.

You will be entitled to a supervised workers license in Victoria once you meet the requirement for a non-skill license which will make you eligible to work under a supervision of a qualified person.

Who can apply for ATCS?

Permanent Residents of Australia and Australian Citizens who have gained or finished formal training as an electrician overseas need a skill assessment to get the license to work in Victoria.
