Education System

Completing higher education is becoming more common in Norway. One of the reasons is the low cost of obtaining a degree.

To ensure that everyone has equitable access to education, the educational system is generally subsidised by the government. As a result, most colleges do not charge tuition. With such favourable circumstances, you are almost certain to obtain a degree and enjoy the carefree student lifestyle.

Schooling – In Norway nowadays, roughly every third individual has completed a higher degree. Women have a higher proportion of people with a higher education than men. Women aged 30–39 are the category with the highest percentage of those pursuing higher education.

University – Norway’s largest and oldest universities are naturally located in the country’s major cities. The government, on the other hand, actively fosters expansion in outlying districts by providing subsidies and other financial schemes to smaller towns. University colleges have been built in the countryside as well as in cities in accordance with this approach.

Admission Procedure

When you submit your application for a student residence permit, you must also include your passport and other required documents. You must supply the following documents:

  • A filled-out application form

  • A valid travel document is required (i.e. passport)
  • Two recent passport-sized white-background photographs
