Australia visitor visa – Subclass 600
If you wish to visit Australia for tourism or business purposes, you will need to apply for the Australian visitor visa (subclass 600). Under the provisions of the visa,
- Tourism can mean visiting for purposes of recreation or for visiting family and friends.
- Business can include attending conferences, negotiating deals or for other business purposes.
Rules And Regulations For The Australia Subclass 600 Visa
This visa is also for passport holders from certain countries. The Department of Home Affairs decides which countries are eligible. The ETA lets you travel to Australia for holidays or business trips.
- Any person who enters Australia on a visitor visa is not permitted to work or provide any kind of services to a business in Australia.
- Any person entering on a visitor visa cannot directly sell any goods or services to the Australian public.
- Any person who intends to study in an informal course which lasts for less than 3 months can apply for a visitor visa.
Visitor visas for parents of Australian Citizens – Subclass (103)

Stay Conditions
Please note that this visa will not lead to permanent residency. The length of stay on 1 entry will depend on the immigration, as mentioned on the visa grant letter, and differs on a case-by-case basis.
