To qualify for this occupation, individuals must possess educational qualifications equivalent to an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field highly relevant to the nominated occupation. Additionally, applicants should have completed at least one post-qualification employment opportunity at a skill level that aligns closely with the requirements of the occupation within the past five years.

Marine Biologist:

Flight Attendant:

Flight Attendant(451711 ANZSCO) A person is responsible for making sure the safety, comfort, and security of the passengers in the airline. Providing customer service to guests and creating a welcoming environment for them as well. Suitable occupations under this ANZSCO Code are  Cabin Crew, Cabin Supervisor (Aircraft), and Crew Attendant (Air Force).

Pharmacy Technician:

Pharmacy Technician(311215 ANZSCO) A person who is takes care of filling and labeling prescriptions of patients with the supervision of a Pharmacist and also responsible for the record of the medicine, placing orders for it and keeping stock, and making sure the medicines are delivered to patients. ->Applicants with a Skills Assessment that is close to expiring should consider applying for a renewal of their assessment at the same time as they apply for a state or territory migration program – or earlier.

->Each state and territory has its own criteria for applications and sometimes the timeframes are short.

->Applicants will be more likely to avoid disappointment if they apply for renewal early rather than wait for an invitation from a state or territory.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):

Do you have valid evidence of your job-relevant skills and is available? The RPL or Recognition of prior learning will acknowledge the skills you have had through education and work experience. The sole intent of the assessment through Recognized Prior Learning is to evaluate your skills and formal or informal learning and make sure it matches the standards and can be used towards the awarding of credits or formal qualification. 

RPL Qualifications & Fees

The fees or price of RPL are subject to change and need to be checked on the official website. As per the new update, the RPL fees for Automotive is below:

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology – AUD 4,995
  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology – AUD 4,995
  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology –  AUD 4,995.

RPL Assessment Process

The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process has 4 stages and they are:

Stage 1 – Confirmation of Work Experience 

Once you make the initial payment for the RPL, you will be given an online assessment for your selected qualification. This Online assessment is for you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required. 

You will also be required to give 2 different employers’ references to confirm your skills and knowledge. The referees will be receiving a link directly from the assessment body.

Stage 2 – Demonstration of Supporting Knowledge 

Once your Skills and Knowledge are established, you will have to make the second payment. After that, you will have to appear for an online Question and Answer. The online Q&A is for demonstrating the supporting knowledge counter to the units within the qualifications. 

Stage 3 – Proof of Required Skills

Once you are successfully done with the demonstration of knowledge you have of the units within the qualifications making the final payment, the next step will be to upload the supporting or proof of documents of each unit.

The documents have to be uploaded as per the instructions.

Once you are done with the above step, Now you have to wait for the result. There will be two outcomes, either your RPL will be granted or Not Granted. 

If the RPL is granted – Every Unit of Competency within the qualification has been assessed and the RPL is granted. You will receive a certificate, a statement of results, and a digital Badge.

If the RPL is not granted – Either all or a few of the units under the specific qualifications have been assessed and the RPL is not given. You will receive an RPL not granted and/or Credit Transfer), a statement of Attainment (RPL given), and a Statement of Results (RPL granted.

At least one form of the primary document is required for the evidence of Identity. Either Passport bio page or birth certificate. Apart from the primary document, you also have to share the secondary form of proof of identification. Make sure at least one form of secondary proof contains a photo of you and your full name along with your date of birth. 

A declaration form also needs to be signed. The declaration form will confirm that the information you provided is true and correct. 

If you are taking services from an authorized agent or lawyer to work on behalf of you then the following things are required:

  • Full Name
  • Signature 
  • Date of Signing on the declaration form.

If you have changed your name, then evidence needs to be submitted to VETASSES, following are the documents that need to be provided:

  • National ID
  • Social security card
  • Marriage certificate
  • Student identity card
  • Driver’s Licence

  1. Evidence of Qualification

You have to provide evidence of your qualification as it will be a part of determining eligibility. VETASSES will be requiring the  Award certificate and the Academic transcripts. 

Please note in case your qualifications require in-house assessment, then the application will not be eligible for the fast track option. 

There are certain additional requirements if a person belongs to a specific part of the world. Please check the official website of the VETASSES for this information.

  1. Evidence of Employment 

It is also an important factor in determining eligibility. The following documents are required:

A statement of service with the issue date and on the company letterhead. The letter must include the number of working hours, job title, period of employment, roles, and responsibilities, and salary earned. All the details of the person who is writing the statement of service, Name, job title, and signature. 

Please note that references with the same position or below are not acceptable and the references might be contacted for cross-verification.

Australian Technical Competencies Statement Assessment

Complementary Health Therapies Assessment is for people who have a qualifications assessment in a professional association. People need to hold a full membership with a professional body, once their practitioner obtained their professional membership, they can claim their reimbursement.

A person should only apply for this assessment if they have been referred to us for a qualifications assessment by either a professional association or the private health fund and they hold a qualification in complementary therapy/therapies (also known as alternative therapies).

Application Process

Complementary Health Therapies Assessment provides applicants with a statement of the crucial areas of study and the similarity of the educational level of their overseas qualifications with the Australian Qualifications Framework educational levels.

The assessment of the level of your qualifications depends on many factors, including the Institution status, groundwork studies, length and mode of study, grades received, and the entry requirements. 

When assessing an overseas qualification, people look for recognition of the awarding institute and the certification of the program/qualification by the official educational authorities in its country. If people cannot identify the official recognition of a qualification in the respective country, we decline to assess the qualification.
